In value terms, textile tubing exports soared to $X in 2021. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being observed in certain years. In general, imports, however, showed a pronounced shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 144% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, textile tubing imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 46% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

Germany (X tons), Brazil (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main suppliers of textile tubing imports to China, together comprising 56% of total imports.

In 2021, the average textile tubing import price amounted to $X per ton, surging by 10% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 193%. The import price peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while the price for Tunisia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
