The United States (X tons), India (X tons) and Russia (X tons) were the main destinations of textile tubing exports from China, together accounting for 25% of total exports. Italy, Poland, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Brazil, Thailand, Germany, Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Bangladesh lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 30%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the Netherlands (with a CAGR of +14.0%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the United States ($X) remains the key foreign market for textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing exports from China, comprising 15% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by India ($X), with a 5.2% share of total exports. It was followed by Italy, with a 4.3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to the United States amounted to +6.3%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: India (+2.8% per year) and Italy (-0.2% per year).

The average textile tubing export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, picking up by 7.4% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 28%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, the amount of textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing imported into China rose slightly to X tons, with an increase of 3.2% on 2021 figures. In general, imports, however, saw a abrupt shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 71% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, textile tubing imports stood at $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 46% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Germany (X tons), Switzerland (X tons) and Japan (X tons) were the main suppliers of textile tubing imports to China, together accounting for 69% of total imports. The United States, France, the UK, Mexico, South Korea and Thailand lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 26%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Mexico (with a CAGR of +36.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest textile tubing suppliers to China were Japan ($X), Germany ($X) and France ($X), together comprising 70% of total imports. Switzerland, the United States, the UK, Mexico, South Korea and Thailand lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 28%.
Mexico, with a CAGR of +31.9%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the average textile tubing import price amounted to $X per ton, remaining stable against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 54% against the previous year. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per ton), while the price for Thailand ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+18.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
