Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, textile tubing exports soared to $X in 2021. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being observed in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 19% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
The United States (X tons), India (X tons) and Vietnam (X tons) were the main destinations of textile tubing exports from China, with a combined 21% share of total exports. Italy, Poland, Russia, the Netherlands, Taiwan (Chinese), Brazil, Germany, Israel, Canada and Thailand lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 34%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by the Netherlands (with a CAGR of +17.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the United States ($X) remains the key foreign market for textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing exports from China, comprising 12% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Italy ($X), with a 4.9% share of total exports. It was followed by Vietnam, with a 4.3% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to the United States totaled +3.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Italy (+0.3% per year) and Vietnam (+2.1% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The average textile tubing export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, with an increase of 9.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a moderate increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 199%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2017 to 2021, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Canada ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into China
In 2021, approx. X tons of textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing were imported into China; with an increase of 28% on the previous year's figure. In general, imports, however, showed a pronounced shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 144% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, textile tubing imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 46% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Germany (X tons), Brazil (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main suppliers of textile tubing imports to China, together comprising 56% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Brazil (with a CAGR of +103.2%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Japan ($X), France ($X) and Germany ($X) constituted the largest textile tubing suppliers to China, with a combined 63% share of total imports. These countries were followed by the United States, Brazil, Switzerland, Mexico, the UK, South Korea, Italy, the Czech Republic, Thailand and Tunisia, which together accounted for a further 35%.
Brazil, with a CAGR of +120.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the average textile tubing import price amounted to $X per ton, surging by 10% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 193%. The import price peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while the price for Tunisia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+13.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
