Textile Tubing Price in China (FOB) - 2023

In June 2023, the average textile tubing export price amounted to $3,598 per ton, remaining stable against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a mild contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 an increase of 9.2% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $4,357 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to June 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Canada ($7,394 per ton), while the average price for exports to Vietnam ($1,665 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Textile Tubing Price in China (CIF) - 2023

In June 2023, the average textile tubing import price amounted to $32,691 per ton, jumping by 18% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a perceptible slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 an increase of 50% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $80,689 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Japan ($78,695 per ton), while the price for Brazil ($19,576 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+9.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Textile Tubing Exports in China

In 2022, approx. 38K tons of textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing were exported from China; remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, exports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 5.4%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

In value terms, textile tubing exports rose rapidly to $148M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +5.0% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being observed in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 15%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Textile Tubing Imports in China

In 2022, imports of textile hosepiping and similar textile tubing into China expanded slightly to 113 tons, picking up by 3.2% on 2021 figures. In general, imports, however, saw a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 28%.

In value terms, textile tubing imports expanded to $5.8M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 41%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
