Slovakia (X tons), Azerbaijan (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Greece (X tons) held a relatively small share of total exports.
From 2007 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Greece, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest bentonite supplying countries from Bangladesh were the U.S. ($X), Turkey ($X) and India ($X), together comprising X% of total exports.
In terms of the main exporting countries, Turkey recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2018, and then plummeted in the following year.

Germany (X tons), Canada (X tons), Indonesia (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), Poland (X tons), Russia (X tons), Saudi Arabia (X tons), Thailand (X tons), the UK (X tons), Japan (X tons) and France (X tons) represented roughly X% of total imports of bentonite in 2019. Italy (X tons) took a minor share of total imports.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 when the import price increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2019, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2019, the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per ton), while Indonesia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
