Veterinary Medicine Vaccines Price in the United States (FOB) - 2021

The average veterinary medicine vaccines export price stood at $78,842 per ton in December 2021, standing approximately at the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2021 when the average export price increased by 16% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $83,024 per ton. From November 2021 to December 2021, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Thailand ($99,154 per ton), while the average price for exports to Taiwan (Chinese) ($34,831 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Veterinary Medicine Vaccines Price in the United States (CIF) - 2021

In December 2021, the average veterinary medicine vaccines import price amounted to $355K per ton, picking up by 24% against the previous month. Overall, import price indicated a notable increase from December 2020 to December 2021: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.2% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on December 2021 figures, veterinary medicine vaccines import price increased by +168.4% against October 2021 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2021 when the average import price increased by 117% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $360K per ton in June 2021; however, from July 2021 to December 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2021, the country with the highest price was Canada ($380K per ton), while the price for Australia amounted to $150K per ton.

From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+10.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Veterinary Medicine Vaccines Exports in the United States

After three years of growth, overseas shipments of vaccines for veterinary medicine decreased by -5.1% to 7K tons in 2022. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.6% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 10%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 7.4K tons, and then declined in the following year.

In value terms, veterinary medicine vaccines exports contracted to $529M in 2022. In general, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 15% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $566M, and then fell in the following year.
