Vegetable Waxes Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023

The average vegetable waxes import price stood at $8,649 per ton in June 2023, increasing by 79% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price posted resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2022 an increase of 167% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $17,264 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($24,417 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($3,700 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+21.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Vegetable Waxes Price in Poland (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average vegetable waxes export price amounted to $4,375 per ton, increasing by 56% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate perceptible growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 81%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($13,538 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($2,184 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+49.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Vegetable Waxes Imports in Poland

In 2022, overseas purchases of vegetable waxes decreased by -19% to 332 tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, imports saw a deep reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 25%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 498 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, vegetable waxes imports shrank markedly to $1.8M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.5% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +21.4% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 56% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $2.3M, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.
