Maize Oil Exports

Exports from Poland

In 2022, shipments abroad of maize oil decreased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, exports, however, showed a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when exports increased by X%. The exports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then declined remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, maize oil exports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

The Netherlands (X tons) was the main destination for maize oil exports from Poland, with a X% share of total exports. In value terms, maize oil imports declined to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. In 2022, Hungary (X tons) constituted the largest maize oil supplier to Poland, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, maize oil imports from Hungary exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Spain (X tons), sevenfold.
