Turkey Meat Price in France (FOB) - 2023
The average turkey meat export price stood at $3,836 per ton in July 2023, jumping by 31% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.8%. The export price peaked at $4,050 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($9,263 per ton), while the average price for exports to Liberia ($1,084 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Liberia (+9.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Turkey Meat Price in France (CIF) - 2023
The average turkey meat import price stood at $4,932 per ton in July 2023, dropping by -2.8% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 24% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $5,381 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($7,135 per ton), while the price for the UK ($1,688 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+5.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Turkey Meat Exports in France
For the third year in a row, France recorded decline in shipments abroad of turkey meat, which decreased by -14.3% to 50K tons in 2022. Overall, exports showed a abrupt shrinkage. The smallest decline of -8.8% was in 2021.
In value terms, turkey meat exports shrank to $145M in 2022. In general, exports saw a noticeable descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 3.4%.

Turkey Meat Imports in France

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
