Transistor Price in Singapore (FOB) - 2022

In September 2022, the average transistor export price amounted to $151 per thousand units, declining by -26.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated a modest expansion from September 2021 to September 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2022 figures, transistor export price decreased by -26.2% against August 2022 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2022 when the average export price increased by 35% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $228 per thousand units in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to September 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($658 per thousand units), while the average price for exports to China ($52.0 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2021 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hong Kong SAR (+9.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Transistor Price in Singapore (CIF) - 2022

The average transistor import price stood at $148 per thousand units in September 2022, dropping by -7.8% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated a resilient increase from September 2021 to September 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +7.1% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2022 figures, transistor import price decreased by -7.8% against August 2022 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2021 when the average import price increased by 103% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $173 per thousand units in January 2022; however, from February 2022 to September 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was Germany ($310 per thousand units), while the price for Japan ($29.0 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2021 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+15.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Transistor Exports in Singapore

In 2022, transistor exports from Singapore shrank remarkably to 6.9M units, dropping by -23.2% on the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, exports showed a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 87% against the previous year. The exports peaked at 9.1M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, transistor exports fell dramatically to $2.8B in 2022. In general, exports showed a abrupt downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 120% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $3.9B, and then fell markedly in the following year.

In general, imports, however, recorded a pronounced downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 33%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at 9.1M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, transistor imports dropped to $2B in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 30% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $2.3B, and then declined in the following year.
