Steam Turbine Price in Norway (FOB) - 2022

The average steam turbine export price stood at $11,480 per unit in 2022, surging by 6.9% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 an increase of 274%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $226,949 per unit. From 2015 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($23,527 per unit), while the average price for exports to Germany ($151 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (+42.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Steam Turbine Price in Norway (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average steam turbine import price amounted to $56,464 per unit, rising by 3,602% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a perceptible slump. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $137,887 per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($465,458 per unit), while the price for Denmark ($469 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+12.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Steam Turbine Exports in Norway

In 2022, shipments abroad of steam turbines and other vapor turbines decreased by -12.2% to 36 units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, total exports indicated buoyant growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +10.1% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +33.3% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 28% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 41 units, and then contracted in the following year.

In value terms, steam turbine exports fell to $413K in 2022. Overall, exports showed a deep downturn. The smallest decline of -5% was in 2021. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $734K in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, steam turbine imports surged to $1.2M in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a strong increase. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $6.1M in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
