Soap in Bars Price in Thailand (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average soap in bars export price amounted to $3,002 per ton, with an increase of 19% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.8%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($7,316 per ton), while the average price for exports to Indonesia ($2,065 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Myanmar (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Soap in Bars Price in Thailand (CIF) - 2022

The average soap in bars import price stood at $2,441 per ton in 2022, increasing by 11% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a mild descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 43% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $2,903 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($5,876 per ton), while the price for China ($1,474 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Indonesia (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Soap in Bars Exports in Thailand

In 2022, approx. 44K tons of soap and organic surface-active products in bars were exported from Thailand; growing by 3.7% on 2021. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 18% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 49K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, soap in bars exports skyrocketed to $132M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +9.6% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
