Shampoo Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023

The average shampoo export price stood at $3,174 per ton in June 2023, surging by 5% against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.0%. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 16% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum in June 2023.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($3,995 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($2,005 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kazakhstan (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Shampoo Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023

In June 2023, the average shampoo import price amounted to $3,161 per ton, surging by 2.8% against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2022 an increase of 16% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $3,457 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($19,376 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($1,659 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Shampoo Exports in Poland

For the third year in a row, Poland recorded decline in shipments abroad of shampoos, which decreased by -7.5% to 89K tons in 2022. Overall, exports continue to indicate a deep setback. The smallest decline of -4.2% was in 2021.

In value terms, shampoo exports shrank to $228M in 2022. In general, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 3.4%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $241M, and then declined in the following year.

Shampoo Imports in Poland

For the third year in a row, Poland recorded decline in purchases abroad of shampoos, which decreased by -4.6% to 51K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a mild contraction. The smallest decline of -0.3% was in 2021.

In value terms, shampoo imports shrank to $148M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 9.9%.
