Shampoo Market Size in Poland

The Polish shampoo market soared to $X in 2020, picking up by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption, however, recorded a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2012 when exports increased by X% y-o-y. Exports peaked at X tonnes in 2019, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, shampoo exports declined slightly to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

France (X tonnes), Italy (X tonnes) and the UK (X tonnes) were the main destinations of shampoo exports from Poland, together comprising X% of total exports. These countries were followed by the Netherlands, Russia, Germany, Ukraine, Spain, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, Belgium and Romania, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Belgium, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for shampoo exported from Poland were Kazakhstan ($X), Germany ($X) and Russia ($X), together accounting for X% of total exports. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, average export prices attained the maximum at $X per tonne in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2020, export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2020, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kazakhstan, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Poland

In 2020, imports of shampoos into Poland dropped slightly to X tonnes, falling by -X% compared with 2019. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% y-o-y. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tonnes. From 2018 to 2020, the growth imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, shampoo imports rose rapidly to $X in 2020. Overall, imports, however, recorded a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2020 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
