The average semiconductor thyristor export price stood at $354 per thousand units in September 2022, waning by -9.6% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a tangible expansion from September 2021 to September 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.7% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2022 figures, semiconductor thyristor export price increased by +62.0% against April 2022 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2022 an increase of 36% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $500 per thousand units in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to September 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($612 per thousand units), while the average price for exports to the Philippines ($114 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.

Overall, import price indicated a buoyant expansion from September 2021 to September 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +5.0% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2022 figures, semiconductor thyristor import price increased by +19.5% against April 2022 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2022 when the average import price increased by 48% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $377 per thousand units in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to September 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was Japan ($822 per thousand units), while the price for Thailand ($95.0 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2021 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (+8.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
