Raspberry and Blackberry Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2022
The average raspberry and blackberry export price stood at $2,167 per ton in 2022, rising by 52% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a strong expansion from 2013 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.5% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by 61% against the previous year. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($6,229 per ton), while the average price for exports to Syrian Arab Republic ($308 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Saudi Arabia (+46.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Raspberry and Blackberry Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2022
The average raspberry and blackberry import price stood at $4,356 per ton in 2022, which is down by -11.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a perceptible setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average import price increased by 26%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $5,850 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($5,241 per ton), while the price for Afghanistan ($1,801 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (-0.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Raspberry and Blackberry Exports in Turkey
In 2022, overseas shipments of raspberries and blackberries decreased by -54.7% to 174 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a remarkable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 117% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 384 tons, and then contracted sharply in the following year.
In value terms, raspberry and blackberry exports contracted dramatically to $377K in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 82%.

Raspberry and Blackberry Imports in Turkey
In 2022, imports of raspberries and blackberries into Turkey dropped significantly to 38 tons, which is down by -37.3% compared with 2021 figures. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted buoyant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 108% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 60 tons, and then declined significantly in the following year.
In value terms, raspberry and blackberry imports reduced sharply to $165K in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a modest expansion.
