Onion and Shallot Production in the United States - 2022
In 2022, the amount of onion and shallot produced in the United States amounted to 3.3M tons, stabilizing at 2021 figures. Overall, production, however, saw a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 5.8% against the previous year. Onion and shallot production peaked at 3.7M tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, production remained at a lower figure.
