In 2022, the average export price for vegetables, brassica; brussel sprouts, fresh or chilleds amounted to $845 per ton, surging by 37% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a abrupt downturn. The export price peaked at $1,406 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($1,571 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Sudan ($711 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Oman (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $2,650 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was South Africa ($2,000 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands stood at $1,492 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (-1.6%).
