The average import price for onions, shallots, garlic, leeks and other alliaceous vegetables; fresh or chilleds stood at $1,326 per ton in November 2023, with an increase of 9.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price enjoyed a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 when the average import price increased by 68% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,347 per ton; afterwards, it flattened through to November 2023.
