The average import price for onions, shallots, garlic, leeks and other alliaceous vegetables; fresh or chilleds stood at $857 per ton in December 2022, surging by 8.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2022 an increase of 11% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $978 per ton. From May 2022 to December 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
