In October 2023, the average export price for nuts, edible; cashew nuts, shelled, fresh or drieds amounted to $6,654 per ton, approximately equating the previous month. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 2.2% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $7,408 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to October 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In October 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Germany ($7,778 per ton) and Saudi Arabia ($7,646 per ton), while the average price for exports to Oman ($6,163 per ton) and the United States ($6,217 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Saudi Arabia (+0.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

As a result, import price reached the peak level of $8,126 per ton. From January 2023 to October 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
