The average import price for nuts, edible; brazil nuts, shelled, fresh or drieds stood at $7,677 per ton in October 2023, growing by 7.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 an increase of 20% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $9,409 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to October 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($10,848 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($6,604 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($17,965 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($9,449 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
