Price for Non-Woven Glass Fibre Articles in Turkey (FOB) - 2021
In December 2021, the average non-woven glass fibre articles export price amounted to $1,083 per ton, growing by 2.7% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2021 when the average export price increased by 3.5% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $1,208 per ton in December 2020; however, from January 2021 to December 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In December 2021, the country with the highest price was Poland ($1,388 per ton), while the average price for exports to Romania ($642 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Price for Non-Woven Glass Fibre Articles in Turkey (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average non-woven glass fibre articles import price amounted to $5,012 per ton, falling by -10.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 28% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $5,592 per ton, and then reduced in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($12,455 per ton), while the price for Lithuania ($1,881 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+12.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Non-Woven Glass Fibre Articles in Turkey
In 2022, approx. 37K tons of non-woven glass fibre webs, felts, mattresses and boards were exported from Turkey; shrinking by -8.6% compared with the previous year's figure. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 21%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 40K tons, and then fell in the following year.
In value terms, non-woven glass fibre articles exports reduced to $41M in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 21%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $45M, and then contracted in the following year.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 22% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 4.2K tons, and then dropped in the following year.
In value terms, non-woven glass fibre articles imports fell significantly to $19M in 2022. In general, total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last three years.
