Price for Non-Woven Glass Fibre Articles in Norway (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average non-woven glass fibre articles import price amounted to $2,218 per ton, with an increase of 4.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a perceptible decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the average import price increased by 8.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $3,667 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($5,620 per ton), while the price for Russia ($1,029 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+0.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average non-woven glass fibre articles export price stood at $720 per ton in 2022, reducing by -21.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 94% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $5,483 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($4,045 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($107 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (-1.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports of Non-Woven Glass Fibre Articles in Norway

In 2022, approx. 9.7K tons of non-woven glass fibre webs, felts, mattresses and boards were imported into Norway; rising by 24% against 2021. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a buoyant increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.4% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -18.5% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 56%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $26M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
