In November 2021, the average non-woven glass fibre articles import price amounted to $3,341 per ton, which is down by -10.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2021 an increase of 354% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $11,066 per ton. From February 2021 to November 2021, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2021, the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,198 per ton), while the price for Belgium stood at $2,384 per ton.
From November 2020 to November 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+0.7%).
Price for Non-Woven Glass Fibre Articles in Luxembourg (FOB) - 2022
The average non-woven glass fibre articles export price stood at $17,250 per ton in 2022, which is down by -26.1% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, enjoyed a slight increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average export price increased by 229%. The export price peaked at $51,700 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($30,246 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($1,722 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+23.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
