The average import price for meat of bovine animals; fresh or chilled stood at $18,564 per ton in December 2023, approximately equating the previous month. From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+1.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the export price showed a abrupt decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 132% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $8,724 per ton. From May 2023 to December 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Georgia.
