In December 2022, the average egg, excluding hen egg export price amounted to $1,638 per ton, falling by -2.5% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a slight increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2022 an increase of 290% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $5,697 per ton in February 2022; however, from March 2022 to December 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In December 2022, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($2,909 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hong Kong SAR amounted to $1,600 per ton.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+1.9%).

The average egg, excluding hen egg import price stood at $13,508 per ton in 2022, increasing by 13% against the previous year.
