In December 2023, the average import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds amounted to $3,921 per ton, rising by 12% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.0%. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2023 when the average import price increased by 29% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $3,981 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to December 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Israel ($9,191 per ton), while the price for Pakistan ($1,091 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+6.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In December 2023, the average export price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds amounted to $3,301 per ton, with an increase of 14% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, saw a slight reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 15% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $4,783 per ton. From February 2023 to December 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In December 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Japan ($4,020 per ton) and Thailand ($3,590 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($2,774 per ton) and Singapore ($3,016 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In general, imports continue to indicate a noticeable contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 77%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $139M.
