Price for Cereals; Grain Sorghum, Other than Seed in Ukraine (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average export price for cereals; grain sorghum, other than seeds amounted to $263 per ton, remaining constant against the previous month. Over the period from December 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.9%. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 29% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $264 per ton in July 2023, and then contracted in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($359 per ton), while the average price for exports to Iraq ($151 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+2.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
