The average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $2,592 per ton in December 2023, falling by -3.6% against the previous month. Overall, import price indicated a perceptible expansion from December 2022 to December 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on December 2023 figures, import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds increased by +12.7% against September 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 62% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,334 per ton. From August 2023 to December 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($2,877 per ton), while the price for Germany ($621 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+4.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds amounted to $916 per ton, reducing by -38.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a pronounced slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 89% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $2,626 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($2,000 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($628 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+19.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
