In 2022, the average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds amounted to $384 per ton, surging by 3.9% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds decreased by -15.9% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average export price increased by 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $457 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Azerbaijan ($1,088 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($234 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Armenia (+18.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the import price recorded a prominent expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 104%. The import price peaked at $1,940 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Qatar ($1,818 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($402 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Qatar (+4.4%).

Over the period under review, exports faced a significant contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 19% against the previous year.
