The average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $1,528 per ton in 2022, growing by 2.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw measured growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 69%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were the Netherlands ($1,549 per ton) and Sudan ($1,546 per ton), while the average price for exports to Peru ($1,522 per ton) and Germany ($1,522 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+9.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced slump. The import price peaked at $2,108 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($907 per ton), while the price for Saudi Arabia totaled $906 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Saudi Arabia (+11.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
