Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 14% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $1,713 per ton in September 2023, and then reduced rapidly in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($1,353 per ton), while the price for North Macedonia totaled $830 per ton.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+7.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the export price posted a strong expansion. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($10,661 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK totaled $1,224 per ton.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+34.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
