Preserved Sweet Corn Price in India (FOB) - 2023
The average preserved sweet corn export price stood at $1,263 per ton in July 2023, with an increase of 4.6% against the previous month. In general, export price indicated a mild increase from July 2022 to July 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, preserved sweet corn export price increased by +8.8% against May 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2022 an increase of 95% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,934 per ton. From October 2022 to July 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the UK ($1,908 per ton), while the average price for exports to Australia ($904 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+10.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Preserved Sweet Corn Price in India (CIF) - 2022
The average preserved sweet corn import price stood at $1,201 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 8.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $2,467 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Thailand.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for France amounted to +1.3% per year.
Preserved Sweet Corn Exports in India
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of sweet corn prepared or preserved, when their volume decreased by -6.3% to 2.5K tons. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 138% against the previous year.
In value terms, preserved sweet corn exports reached $2.8M in 2022. In general, exports, however, posted significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 128%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

Preserved Sweet Corn Imports in India
After two years of decline, overseas purchases of sweet corn prepared or preserved increased by 11% to 1.4K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a abrupt decrease.
In value terms, preserved sweet corn imports skyrocketed to $1.7M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +5.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
