Nonwoven Fabric Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average nonwoven fabric import price amounted to $4,163 per ton, declining by -3.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 6.2% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $4,304 per ton in July 2023, and then contracted modestly in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Finland ($7,045 per ton), while the price for Israel ($2,910 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Finland (+8.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Nonwoven Fabric Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average nonwoven fabric export price amounted to $3,946 per ton, falling by -11.1% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 13% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $4,477 per ton. From June 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United States ($6,281 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ireland ($431 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+2.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Nonwoven Fabric Imports in Poland
In 2022, purchases abroad of nonwoven fabrics decreased by -10.3% to 157K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, imports showed a mild decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 6.2% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 175K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, nonwoven fabric imports fell to $668M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +6.2% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 19% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $693M, and then shrank modestly in the following year.

Nonwoven Fabric Exports in Poland
In 2022, shipments abroad of nonwoven fabrics decreased by -12.1% to 87K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 29% against the previous year.
In value terms, nonwoven fabric exports fell to $371M in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +13.9% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +47.6% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 30%.
