Memories Price in South Korea (FOB) - 2022
In December 2022, the average memories export price amounted to $11.1 per unit, which is down by -10.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2022 an increase of 14% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $23.2 per unit in May 2022; however, from June 2022 to December 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was China ($16.2 per unit), while the average price for exports to the Philippines ($3.1 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Memories Price in South Korea (CIF) - 2022
In December 2022, the average memories import price amounted to $13.2 per unit, shrinking by -11.5% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a pronounced decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2022 when the average import price increased by 17% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $22.0 per unit in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to December 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($35.1 per unit), while the price for Taiwan (Chinese) ($8.2 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+6.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Memories exports from South Korea contracted to 13B units in 2022, shrinking by -5.7% on the previous year. In general, exports recorded a perceptible curtailment.
