Manuka Price in the Czech Republic (CIF) - 2023

The average manuka import price stood at $3,922 per ton in July 2023, falling by -4.6% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2022 when the average import price increased by 15% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $4,643 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Georgia ($22,381 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($2,055 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Georgia (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Manuka Price in the Czech Republic (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average manuka export price amounted to $5,548 per ton, declining by -30.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, posted a perceptible increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 35% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $7,952 per ton, and then dropped rapidly in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($100,500 per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($2,911 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sweden (+39.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Manuka Imports in the Czech Republic

In 2022, the amount of manuka imported into the Czech Republic reached 5.8K tons, growing by 3.4% on the previous year's figure. Overall, imports saw a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 58%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

In value terms, manuka imports rose slightly to $21M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports posted a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 66% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

Manuka Exports in the Czech Republic
