Manuka Price in Oman (CIF) - 2022
The average manuka import price stood at $3,513 per ton in 2022, waning by -6.9% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 15%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,775 per ton, and then fell in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($7,325 per ton), while the price for Iran ($1,530 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Australia (+6.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Manuka Price in Oman (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average manuka export price amounted to $4,092 per ton, shrinking by -6.4% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, manuka export price increased by +6.2% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 29%. The export price peaked at $4,834 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Qatar ($4,882 per ton), while the average price for exports to Somalia ($932 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Qatar (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Manuka Imports in Oman
In 2022, manuka imports into Oman expanded rapidly to 2.8K tons, increasing by 7.5% on the year before. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern.
