Insulating Board Price in Kenya (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average insulating board import price amounted to $311 per cubic meter, surging by 9.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 23% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $496 per cubic meter. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($341 per cubic meter), while the price for China ($185 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Tanzania (+0.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Insulating Board Price in Kenya (FOB) - 2022
The average insulating board export price stood at $215 per cubic meter in 2022, declining by -31.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 42%. Insulating Board Imports in Kenya
In 2022, the amount of insulating board imported into Kenya skyrocketed to 1.6K cubic meters, growing by 49% on the year before. Overall, imports, however, recorded a precipitous contraction.
