Insulating Board Price in France (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average insulating board import price amounted to $550 per cubic meter, surging by 5.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 20% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $609 per cubic meter in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Portugal ($1,100 per cubic meter), while the price for the Netherlands ($427 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Switzerland (+5.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Insulating Board Price in France (FOB) - 2022

The average insulating board export price stood at $367 per cubic meter in 2022, increasing by 17% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 an increase of 18% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $465 per cubic meter. From 2015 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Portugal ($538 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Germany ($351 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Portugal (+7.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Insulating Board Imports in France

In 2022, approx. 95K cubic meters of insulating board were imported into France; with a decrease of -10.7% against the previous year. In general, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 13% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 106K cubic meters, and then contracted in the following year.

In value terms, insulating board imports fell to $52M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +8.8% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 35% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $55M, and then shrank in the following year.

In value terms, insulating board exports expanded to $37M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +10.1% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 35%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $37M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
