Headphone Price in Panama (CIF) - 2022

The average headphone import price stood at $52 per unit in 2022, growing by 21% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 98%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from China ($52 per unit) and Free Zones ($52 per unit), while the price for Thailand ($52 per unit) and Hong Kong SAR ($52 per unit) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+19.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Headphone Price in Panama (FOB) - 2022

The average headphone export price stood at $28 per unit in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 69%. The export price peaked at $44 per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to the United States ($30 per unit) and Colombia ($30 per unit), while the average price for exports to Cuba ($26 per unit) and Peru ($26 per unit) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Headphone Imports in Panama

For the third consecutive year, Panama recorded decline in purchases abroad of headphones, which decreased by -34.6% to 159K units in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a dramatic contraction. The smallest decline of -9.8% was in 2020. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at 917K units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, headphone imports contracted markedly to $8.2M in 2022. Overall, imports saw a precipitous decrease. The smallest decline of -11% was in 2020. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $28M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

For the third year in a row, Panama recorded decline in overseas shipments of headphones, which decreased by -48.2% to 86K units in 2022. Over the period under review, exports faced a dramatic descent. The smallest decline of -13.1% was in 2020. The exports peaked at 601K units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, headphone exports fell notably to $2.4M in 2022. In general, exports saw a dramatic setback. The smallest decline of -2.7% was in 2020. The exports peaked at $23M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
