Which Country Exports the Most Amplifiers in the World?

In 2016, the amount of amplifier exported worldwide stood at 1M tonnes, moving up by 4% against the previous year figure. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% from 2007 to 2016; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations over the period under review. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013, when export increased by 8% y-o-y. Over the period under review, global amplifier exports attained its maximum volume in 2016, and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

In value terms, amplifier exports stood at $36B in 2016. Overall, it indicated a prominent increase from 2007 to 2016: the total exports value increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. Based on the result of 2016, amplifier exports increased by +83.2% against its level of 2009. Global amplifier export peaked in 2016, and are likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.

Amplifier Exports By Country

China (476K tonnes) represented the major exporting country with an export of around 476K tonnes, which finished at 46% of total exports. China, Hong Kong SAR (84K tonnes) ranks second globally in amplifier exports with a 8% share, following the U.S. (6%). The following exporters - Viet Nam (44K tonnes), Mexico (43K tonnes), Germany (40K tonnes), Indonesia (35K tonnes), Belgium (29K tonnes), the Netherlands (26K tonnes), Hungary (25K tonnes), and Italy (21K tonnes) together made up 25% of total exports.

Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% from 2007 to 2016. At the same time, Hungary (+17.5%), Viet Nam (+12.0%), Italy (+5.2%), and Belgium (+2.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Hungary emerged as the fastest growing importer/exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +17.5% from 2007-2016. China, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, and the Netherlands experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Germany (-1.2%), Mexico (-1.6%), and the U.S. (-2.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Hungary (-1.9%), Viet Nam (-2.7%), and China (-15.9%) significantly weakened its position in terms of the global exports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($15B) remains the largest amplifier supplier in the world, making up 42% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by China, Hong Kong SAR ($4B), with the share of 11% of global exports. It was followed by the U.S., with the share of 7%.

In China, amplifier exports stood at an average annual rate of +9.0% over the period from 2007-2016. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: China, Hong Kong SAR (+2.2% per year) and the U.S. (+0.8% per year).

Amplifier Export Prices By Country

The average amplifier export price stood at $35 per kg in 2016, coming down by -3.2% against the previous year. Over the last nine years it increased at an average annual rate of +3.4%.The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010, when export price increased by 16% from the previous year level. Global amplifier export peaked of $36 per kg in 2015, falling back in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average export prices amongst major exporting countries. In 2016, the country with the highest export prices was Viet Nam ($48 per kg), while Indonesia ($9,613 per tonne) was among the lowest.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of amplifier export prices was attained by Viet Nam (+19.0% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
