Tuner Block Price in Brazil (FOB) - 2022
The average tuner block export price stood at $38 per unit in 2022, surging by 48% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a pronounced setback. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $49 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Colombia ($48 per unit), while the average price for exports to Peru ($29 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Argentina (-1.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Tuner Block Price in Brazil (CIF) - 2023
The average tuner block import price stood at $8.6 per unit in August 2023, with an increase of 6.7% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2022 when the average import price increased by 45% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $18.1 per unit in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for China.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Mexico amounted to +0.6% per month.
Tuner Block Exports in Brazil
In 2022, overseas shipments of tuner blocks decreased by -19.4% to 683K units, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, exports saw a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 14%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 1.2M units. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, tuner block exports skyrocketed to $26M in 2022. Overall, exports continue to indicate a perceptible setback. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $30M in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
