Green Coffee Price in Colombia (FOB) - 2022
The average green coffee export price stood at $6,223 per ton in February 2022, increasing by 5% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated measured growth from February 2021 to February 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.0% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on February 2022 figures, green coffee export price increased by +59.8% against February 2021 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2021 an increase of 6.3% month-to-month. The export price peaked in February 2022.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In February 2022, the countries with the highest prices were Spain ($6,439 per ton) and Belgium ($6,410 per ton), while the average price for exports to Finland ($5,997 per ton) and Taiwan (Chinese) ($6,024 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From February 2021 to February 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Green Coffee Price in Colombia (CIF) - 2022
The average green coffee import price stood at $3,055 per ton in February 2022, surging by 15% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a resilient expansion from February 2021 to February 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +5.5% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on February 2022 figures, green coffee import price increased by +88.7% against June 2021 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2021 an increase of 23% against the previous month. The import price peaked in February 2022.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In February 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices from Ecuador ($3,546 per ton) and Brazil ($3,168 per ton), while the price for Peru ($2,786 per ton) and Honduras ($3,001 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From February 2021 to February 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Honduras (+8.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Green Coffee Exports in Colombia
In 2022, shipments abroad of coffee (green) was finally on the rise to reach 688K tons after two years of decline. In general, exports, however, recorded a perceptible downturn.
In value terms, green coffee exports dropped to $2.8B in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +6.8% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 26%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $3.1B, and then dropped in the following year.

Green Coffee Imports in Colombia
After three years of growth, supplies from abroad of coffee (green) decreased by -18.9% to 82K tons in 2022. In general, imports, however, posted a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 61% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 101K tons, and then fell remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, green coffee imports contracted dramatically to $147M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a significant expansion.
