The average glass fibre voiles import price stood at $5,257 per ton in 2022, waning by -18.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 64% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $6,416 per ton, and then reduced markedly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($13,704 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($2,067 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+28.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average glass fibre voiles export price amounted to $8,792 per ton, dropping by -39.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 128% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $17,278 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Montenegro ($35,645 per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($5,373 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Montenegro (+57.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, approx. 365 tons of glass fibre voiles were imported into Romania; with a decrease of -4.6% compared with 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, exports enjoyed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 351% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, glass fibre voiles exports reduced to $499K in 2022. In general, exports enjoyed significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 931% against the previous year.
