Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, glass fibre mat exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, showed a deep reduction. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

France (X tons), Croatia (X tons) and Hungary (X tons) were the main destinations of glass fibre mat exports from Romania, with a combined X% share of total exports. In 2021, the amount of glass fibre mats imported into Romania stood at X tons, growing by X% against 2020 figures. In general, total imports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +X% against 2012 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.
