Glass Fibre Filament Price in Oman (CIF) - 2022
The average glass fibre filament import price stood at $864 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -4.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a mild downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the average import price increased by 28% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $1,209 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($1,602 per ton), while the price for China ($656 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bahrain (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average glass fibre filament export price stood at $836 per ton in 2022, falling by -13.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a noticeable decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by 37% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $1,539 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
