Glass Fibre Fabrics Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2021
In December 2021, the average glass fibre fabrics import price amounted to $2,350 per ton, reducing by -3.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2021 when the average import price increased by 34% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $3,255 per ton in April 2021; however, from May 2021 to December 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2021, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($3,181 per ton), while the price for China ($1,901 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Glass Fibre Fabrics Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2021
The average glass fibre fabrics export price stood at $2,765 per ton in December 2021, surging by 4.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2021 when the average export price increased by 31% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $3,594 per ton. From August 2021 to December 2021, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In December 2021, the country with the highest price was Germany ($20,657 per ton), while the average price for exports to Lithuania ($1,503 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+13.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Glass Fibre Fabrics Imports in Turkey
After three years of growth, supplies from abroad of glass fibre fabrics decreased by -3.3% to 47K tons in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.0% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 12%.
In value terms, glass fibre fabrics imports declined to $104M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +7.7% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 28%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $117M, and then contracted in the following year.

Glass Fibre Fabrics Exports in Turkey
After three years of growth, shipments abroad of glass fibre fabrics decreased by -33.4% to 14K tons in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 201%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 21K tons, and then dropped remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, glass fibre fabrics exports fell notably to $45M in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 98% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $59M, and then declined significantly in the following year.
