Fibreboard Price in the Czech Republic (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average fibreboard import price amounted to $781 per cubic meter, growing by 15% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated temperate growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, fibreboard import price increased by +56.8% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 25%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($1,473 per cubic meter), while the price for France ($432 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+15.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Fibreboard Price in the Czech Republic (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average fibreboard export price amounted to $675 per cubic meter, picking up by 20% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +4.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 26%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($828 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina ($482 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Estonia (+7.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Fibreboard Imports in the Czech Republic
In 2022, approx. 151K cubic meters of fibreboard were imported into the Czech Republic; dropping by -17.9% compared with the previous year. Overall, imports recorded a perceptible reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 15%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 184K cubic meters, and then shrank remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, fibreboard imports contracted to $118M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a strong increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +11.8% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +39.6% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 43%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $125M, and then shrank in the following year.

Fibreboard Exports in the Czech Republic
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of fibreboard, when their volume decreased by -18.4% to 59K cubic meters. Overall, exports saw a noticeable reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 3.5%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at 72K cubic meters in 2021, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, fibreboard exports dropped modestly to $40M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +10.7% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 29%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $40M, and then shrank in the following year.
