In July 2023, the average dried apricot import price amounted to $6,684 per ton, picking up by 11% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a slight decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 18% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $8,049 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Australia ($8,503 per ton), while the price for South Africa ($5,399 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Australia (+0.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
