Carrot and Turnip Price in Oman (CIF) - 2022
The average carrot and turnip import price stood at $646 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -8.5% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.2%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 18%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $705 per ton, and then shrank in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($1,113 per ton), while the price for Iran ($199 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average carrot and turnip export price amounted to $429 per ton, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year.
