Beef Price in the Dominican Republic (CIF) - 2023
In March 2023, the average beef import price amounted to $12,795 per ton, stabilizing at the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2022 when the average import price increased by 17% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $14,557 per ton. From August 2022 to March 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($13,397 per ton), while the price for Nicaragua totaled $5,314 per ton.
From March 2022 to March 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+0.1%).

The average beef export price stood at $6,022 per ton in March 2023, picking up by 29% against the previous month. Over the period from March 2022 to March 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The export price peaked at $6,365 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to March 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
